MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC!

Music is a big part of my life. My father nurtured that part of my life ever since I was young. Wherever I go or whatever I do, I am constantly aware and listening to music. Whether I'm at home reading a book, out shopping, at a coffee shop, or in my office what I'm listening to is of equal importance, as to what I decide to eat that day.  Music nurtures and feeds my soul.  I know to some of you this may sound silly, but it really does this for me.  I need music the way I need food! That is why someday I want to attend  SXSW, at least once or more in my life.  And since this years has come and gone in the last week. I am planning to be at SXSW 2012 which has already been posted as March 9-18.  And I've always wanted to visit Austin(this will be for another blog post), so what is stopping me I don't know.  And since my brother in law is moving to San Antonio this May , I now have a sense of urgency to go visit him and make a stop in Austin, it's only a few hours away.  SXSW music celebrated their 25th anniversary this year 2011. They have a reputation for most anticipated convergence of all things music.  SXSW showcases hundred upon hundreds musical acts around the globe on over eighty stages in downtown Austin.  I didn't get a chance to go through all the performances, but here is a group I've discovered and like

So while we  are on the subject of music, I've discovered two new groups that tickle my fancy.  The first group is  Angus and Julia Stone and  I'm loving them right now!  If you get a chance check out their website, it's very well put together.
 The second group is  Bibio

What are some groups on my ipod right now other than Angus and Julia Stone and Bibio you ask........ The new Strokes album(Angles) which came out a few days ago (March 18,2011),Blind Pilot(which I'm dying to see in concert!!!), Arcade Fire,The Avett brothers, The Head and the Heart, and the French group Phoenix.  Have a wonderful weekend full of great music!
